# Canton-Galva USD 419 names new superintendent

CANTON, Kan. — The Canton-Galva USD 419 Board of Education has selected Ty Poell as the district's next superintendent of schools, effective July 1, 2026\. Poell will succeed Jim Struber, who currently leads the rural McPherson County school district serving the communities of Canton, Galva and surrounding areas.
