# Bullpups varsity football unveils 2026 schedule

MCPHERSON, Kan. — The McPherson High School varsity boys football team will open its 2026 season with a pre-season jamboree at Newton Fischer Field Stadium on Aug. 28 before hosting Augusta on Sept. 4 in the regular-season opener at McPherson Stadium. The Bullpups face a nine-game regular-season slate that includes road trips to Great Bend (Sept. 11), El Dorado (Oct. 2), Mulvane (Oct. 9) and Winfield (Oct. 23), with home dates against Buhler (Sept. 18), Circle (Sept. 25) and Tonganoxie (Oct. 16) before the schedule closes with 4A bracket play beginning Oct. 30 and a potential state championship appearance set for Nov. 28 at 1 p.m.
