# Bullpups Sophomore Qualifies for State in Two Sports

MCPHERSON, Kan. — McPherson Bullpups sophomore Lleyton Kuhn has qualified for state in both varsity girls tennis and varsity girls golf after a remarkable stretch of postseason performances. Kuhn and partner Mason Wiens claimed the AVCTL Division III doubles championship before Kuhn finished runner-up at the AVCTL Division III girls golf meet, earning First Team All-League honors in both sports. She then secured her state bids with a second-place regional finish in tennis doubles and a sixth-place regional finish in golf, and will compete at the state tennis tournament in Topeka before returning home for the Class 4A State Golf Tournament on Monday and Tuesday at Turkey Creek Golf Course.
