# Bullpups Shine at Patriot League North Cross Country Meet

MCPHERSON, Kan. — McPherson middle school boys and girls cross country teams competed in the Patriot League North Division meet, with standout performances across all four divisions. In the 7th grade girls 1-mile race, Mali Casebeer led the Bullpups with a runner-up finish at 6:48.44, while Zora Griffith (10th, 7:16.29), Joyce Klein (17th, 7:39.91), Kathrynn Swigert (18th, 7:49.24), Scarlet Lyman (20th, 8:07.15) and Lael Stevenson (23rd, 9:00.27) also competed; in the 7th grade boys 1-mile, Juan Gaspar Francisco paced McPherson with a seventh-place finish at 6:23.09, followed by Emmett Ringer (12th, 6:36.76), Peyton Miller (15th, 6:50.34), August Barrow (17th, 6:58.55), Cole Sherwood (28th, 7:27.12) and Reid Weber (34th, 8:06.33). In the 8th grade 2-mile races, Finn Kramer won the boys division with a time of 11:48.01 — with Moses Thomson adding a ninth-place finish at 13:42.52 — while the 8th grade girls team claimed second place overall, led by McKaylee Peterson (3rd, 14:02.36), Sloan Shober (7th, 15:23.26), Arayalyn Bookless (9th, 15:34.37) and Kamdyn Unruh (10th, 16:15.70).
