# Bullpups Middle School Cross Country Competes at Chisholm Invite

MCPHERSON, Kan. — The McPherson Middle School Bullpups boys and girls cross country teams competed Saturday at the Chisholm Middle School Capps Malin Invitational. In the 7th-grade boys 1.5-mile race, Emmett Ringer led the way with a 10:37 finish good for 14th place, followed closely by August Barrow (10:53.74) and Juan Gaspar Francisco (10:53.64), with Payton Miller (11:04), Cole Sherwood (12:39) and Reid Weber (13:08) also competing; in the 8th-grade boys 2-mile, Finn Kramer took 5th place with a time of 12:25 and Moses Tompson finished in 14:08\. On the girls side, 7th-grader Zora Griffith placed 14th with an 11:41 in the 1.5-mile, while Mali Casebeer (12:02), Joyce Klein (12:47), Scarlett Lyman (12:55), Kathryn Swigert (14:19) and Lael Stevenson (15:57) also ran; in the 8th-grade girls 2-mile, McKaylee Peterson led with a 9th-place finish in 15:00, followed by Araya Bookless in 16:05 (15th place) and Kamryn Unruh in 17:28.
