WICHITA, Kan. — The McPherson Bullpups varsity girls golf team closed out their season Tuesday and Wednesday at the Class 4A State Tournament at Turkey Creek Golf Course, with four individuals qualifying for the two-day event. Sophomore Lleyton Kuhn led the way, carding a 79 in the opening round to sit tied for sixth before finishing with an 85 on Day 2 for a two-round total of 164 and a T-13th place finish, earning medalist honors for McPherson. Senior Amelia Moody also advanced past the cut after a first-round 90 kept her one stroke inside the cutline, though a second-round 96 placed her 42nd, while seniors Ari Prose and Pera Bauer — the latter missing the cut by a single stroke — wrapped up their careers at the tournament. Coach Treg Fawl reflected on the run: "I am very proud of this team and what they were able to accomplish this season."
