McPherson High School's fall teams begin varsity competition this week, according to the school's Facebook post. [Volleyball opens Tuesday](https://www.citizenjournal.us/bullpups-varsity-girls-volleyball-sets-ambitious-2026-slate/), Aug. 25, at the Eisenhower Jamboree, followed by girls tennis on Thursday, Aug. 27, on the road at Hesston, and the season's first home varsity event, boys soccer against Great Bend, on Friday, Aug. 28.
